Ardha Chandrasana (Half Moon Pose):
The moon has a rich mythology yoga symbolic meaning. In hatha yoga, for example, the sun and the moon represent the two polar energies of the human body. In fact, the word hatha itself is often divided into its two constituent syllables, "Ha" and "Tha", which are then interpreted as meaning esoteric solar and lunar energies, respectively.

Step by step:
- Perform Ardha Chandrasana on the right side , with your left hand resting on the left hip. Inhale, bend your right and slide your left foot about 6 to 12 inches forward along the floor knee. At the same time , reach your right hand forward, beyond the little toe side of the right foot, at least 12 inches.
- Exhale, press your right hand and firmly right heel into the ground and straighten the right leg, simultaneously lifting the left leg parallel (or slightly above parallel ) to the floor. Actively extend through the left heel to keep the leg elevated strong . Do not block (and hyperextension ) standing knee : make sure the ball is aligned simple and is not turned inward .
- Rotate your torso to the left , but keep the left hip moving slightly forward . Most beginners should keep the left hand on left hip and head in a neutral position , looking forward.
- Support the weight of the body, mainly on the supporting leg . Press lightly on the lower floor hand, using it to intelligently regulate the balance. Lift the inner ankle foot standing up sharply , as if drawing energy from the ground in the groin up. Press the sacrum and shoulder blades firmly against the back torso and lengthen the tailbone toward the raised heel.
- Stay in this position for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Then lower the raised leg to the floor with an exhalation and return to Trikonasana . Then, perform the installation to the left for the same period of time.
