Linga Mudra: Linga Mudra - Linga mudra increases bodily heat since it reinforces the fire element and the Pitta humor. Effects : The thumb represents the element fire. This fire is reinforced by performing the linga mudra. The fire element which resides in the thumb is activated and is able to increase uninhibited. Method: Interlock the fingers of both the hands and keep the thumb of the left hand vertically straight and encircle it with the thumb and the index finger of the right hand. It generates heat in our body. Take milk, ghee, more water and fruit juices in addition to practice of this mudra for much benefits.
Caution: 1. Overuse of Linga mudra may aggravate the Pitta humor within the body, causing sluggishness and lethargy. 2. This mudra should not be performed when suffering form ailments of Pitta-excess especially fever.
